● Assisted in establishing the material testing laboratories and finalization of testing formats
based on relevant MORT&H ,IS Codes.
● Assisted the Senior Material Engineer in review and approval of Quality Assurance/ Quality
Control Manuals.
● Identification of borrow areas, quarry sites and other sources of materials.
● Assisted the Material Engineer in review and approval of all the mix designs used in the
Road Projects such as GSB, WMM, Concrete Mixes of M15,M20, M25, M30,M35,M40.
● Collection of samples of materials such as Soil from borrow areas and Aggregate, Sand, Bitumen
and Cement and Mixes such as GSB, WMM, Bituminous and Concrete etc.
● Witnessed the laboratory testing of materials such as Soil, Aggregate, Sand, Bitumen and
Cement and Mixes such as GSB, WMM, Bituminous and Concrete etc., To guide and monitor the
activities of laboratory staff both in laboratory and site.
