     Review Drawings and Design.  Ensure works are carried out in line, levels and specification of works.  Supervision of safety during construction of highway and safe works procedures.  Recording the Measurement all bridge works in Measurement Books.  Also responsible of ensuring that the construction methods are as per technical requirements, environmental standards and inspection of construction equipment etc.  Construction procedures followed, workmanship of the works, sequencing of various construction operations, contractors work plans, contractors work practices, material receipts, storing, consumption procedures, material testing, documentation system to ensure sound and effective techniques are being employed.  Responsible for developing interaction and co-ordination with client, quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Method of the activities of works.  Compliance of contractors with safety measures, working conditions, environment management requirement requirements and employment legislation as stipulated under the contract and relevant national and state laws/ regulations.  verification of monthly estimates of contractor and measurement of completed works  Record measurements and authorize payment to Contractor and maintain records of measurement.  Preparation of project reports, analysis and preparation of variation orders.  Certification of works and processing Contractor’s claims in IPCs with Quantity Surveyor.
