Description of duties • Interpret the technical specification and contract document. • Obtain related approval from concern authorities for any redesign of track alignment, modification and redesign of structures. • Ensure receipt of requisite insurances/ securities as per contract. • Review documentations and advance action for the approvals and executions of work. • Ensure Contractor effects and implementations quality assurance system. • Issue approval of contractors work programme, suggest modification if any and ensure the contractor compliances with the programme. • Issue approval of materials, drawings, borrow area, mix design with notification if any. • Scrutinized and approve the contractor’s construction method. • Monitor supervision of all work and ensure proper supervision with quality as per contract requirement. • Monitor regularly and closely the progress of work as programme and advise to contractor about corrective measures. • Monitor contractor’s manpower and plant machinery mobilization with output. • Advise contractor to maintain all safety measures as per contract during working. • Quantity Estimating & Calculation by Software (Road Estimator). • Certify the Interim Payment Certificate with Advances (mobilization & machinery) recovery, Escalation of price, Rate analysis of non BOQ/Non SOR items, Revise Estimate, Material Consumption, Royalty Calculation, Quantity Variation Estimate & Comparative Statement. • FRL & Cross-section Checking. • Assisted to Team Leader in implementation of construction methodology as MoRTH specification.
